Work for Powervault: Production Assembly Operative


This is an opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing areas of the internet of things: energy storage and smart grid technology. We are looking for a production Supervisor to help us scale up and roll out many thousands of home energy storage products providing smart energy services to the electricity system. You will be given a high degree of responsibility in a close-knit company, with opportunities to direct your work and learn new skills as well as help deliver core business goals.

As a Production Assembly Operative, you will manufacture products in line with production schedules, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and diligence is maintained throughout.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assemble products in line with manufacturing schedules and to specification
  • Undertake maintenance and general housekeeping of production area
  • Communicate with team members and the Production Supervisor to ensure production schedules are achieved
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials and components for manufacture
  • Take good care of allocated company asset and tools
  • Quality checking finished product
  • Update relevant IT systems with the production order status
  • Ensure any manufacturing issues are escalated as necessary
  • Ensure Health & Safety and 5S polices are followed

Training will be made available for the right candidate. Although no experience is needed, to be considered as a Production Assembly Operative, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A track record of successfully working to strict deadlines
  • To be confident and motivated to provide a high level of service to the business and customer
  • IT Skills and communications skills
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work different roles
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Be able to follow written instructions
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Be physically fit to cope with demand of manual lifting


  • Experience in Production/Assembly activities
  • Ideally have experience of working in an engineering environment
  • Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical assembling experience is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Desire and willingness to learn new skills


The candidate will need to be;
